Describe the bug

After installing WSA, When I opened playstore it opens and shows "starting Windows Subsystem for Android" Then it automatically closes it also happens for " google settings " Even I resintalled is again but the
problem persists

Steps to reproduce the issue

Download and Again reinstall it causes same issues

Expected behaviour

When play store opens it shows "starting WSA" then closes again it's also for other apps like google settings

Might as well add to this as my case is so similar, after the install it just kept crashing immediately, it shows the play store and the other app for a second but then the subsystem just crashes and refuses to work even after reinstalling, shortening the folder name, ensured i had everything that i knew about checked and regardless, still crashes. Please fix, I was gonna use this to restore my passwords from my broke phone..

Same issue for me. WSA says starting windows subsystem for android and then closes but nothing opens. I received notification from platy store that play protect is turned on. But when I clicked go to play protect, says starting wsa and then the play store opens. But its a gray window and crashes after a second of opening.

I'm experiencing the same issue for every single app, even the default Files app (accessed via WSA Settings > System > Files). I started experiencing this out of nowhere after having been on Windows Subsystem For Android 2407.40000.4.0 v2 (02/06/2025) for Windows 11 x64 > WSA_2407.40000.4.0_x64_Release-Nightly-with-KernelSU-v1.0.5-MindTheGapps-13.0-RemovedAmazon.7z for months. So here's what I tried in order:

1. upgrade to WSABuilds LTS Build #7 - Hotfix for the ARM Translation Layer (Libhoudini) for Windows 11 x64 > WSA_2407.40000.4.0_x64_Release-Nightly-with-KernelSU-v2.1.2-MindTheGapps-13.0-RemovedAmazon.7z—didn't help.
2. Fully uninstalled and did a clean reinstall (following the official instructions)—didn't work either.
3. Clean reinstalled the first build I mentioned above—didn't work.
4. Fully uninstalled and tried restoring from my userdata.vhdx backup (following the official steps) for both of the above builds (fully uninstalling between each attempt)—neither of those attempts worked either.

Processor AMD Ryzen 7 5800H 8-Core Processor (4.50 GHz)
Installed RAM 32.0 GB
Windows: Edition Windows 11 Pro
Version 25H2 with all Updates

Tested all packages WITH GApps - ALL are crashing some seconds after fully fresh install!
CrashDumps debug files complaining about crashed WSAClient.exe Internal error.

The only one working is the edition NO-GApps! Running with Aurora-Store sideloaded.
But this is no real replacement for paid apps, because of the GooglePlay-Services not existent!
AND Aurora does not get any idea of my paid apps in GooglePlay!

So I'm stuck!
Please recover the recent edition packages!!
