Automatic uninstall of older versions

Hi,

I'm creating this as issue, because I don't know if it is one or intended. Here the thing

(Ubuntu 24.04)

The Nvidia kernel Driver is installed this way:

apt install linux-modules-nvidia-580-server-open-generic

which results in

linux-modules-nvidia-580-server-open-6.8.0-84-generic/noble-updates,noble-security,now 6.8.0-84.84 amd64 [installed,automatic]
linux-modules-nvidia-580-server-open-generic/noble-updates,noble-security,now 6.8.0-85.85 amd64 [installed]

That is fine I guess, because it installs the linux-modules-nvidia-580-server-open-6.8.0-84-generic automatic based on my current Kernel.

But if the kernel gets now updated to 6.8.0-85, I have that (without doing anything):

linux-modules-nvidia-580-server-open-6.8.0-84-generic/noble-updates,noble-security,now 6.8.0-84.84 amd64 [installed,automatic]
linux-modules-nvidia-580-server-open-6.8.0-85-generic/noble-updates,noble-security,now 6.8.0-85.85 amd64 [installed,automatic]
linux-modules-nvidia-580-server-open-generic/noble-updates,noble-security,now 6.8.0-85.85 amd64 [installed]

I'd say, the automatic installation linux-modules-nvidia-580-server-open-6.8.0-85-generic is perfect, but shouldn't the old package then be uninstalled?
