On macOS Edge/Chrome, the popup UI fails to render CJK characters (showing boxes with 'x')

In the version of Edge installed on my macOS, the Chinese and Japanese text on the komf settings page of the Komga website does not display correctly.

This includes the “Identify” pop-up in the upper-right corner.

The correct display should look like this; this is the komf webUI page. This is also in the Edge browser.
