Site Editor black screen on WordPress 7.2 - borderColor TypeError

Bug report

Theme: Saasify 0.6.0 (child theme of Blockify 1.4.10)
WordPress version: 7.2
Issue: Site Editor (/wp-admin/site-editor.php) shows a completely black screen and is unusable.

Console error

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'borderColor')

at Object.dispatch (data.min.js)

Steps to reproduce

1. Install Blockify 1.4.10 + Saasify 0.6.0
2. Update WordPress to 7.2
3. Navigate to wp-admin/site-editor.php
4. Screen is completely black, editor does not load

Expected behavior

Site Editor loads normally and pages can be edited.

Additional notes

The error persists with all plugins deactivated, confirming it is a theme compatibility issue with WordPress 7.2.

Got the same issue. @seothemes you probably dropped support for this theme, but can you please let us know how we can fix this?

For anyone else stuck on this, I wrote a quick PHP fix to wrap Blockify's filters so they can never return a settings object without attributes.
Doesn't fix the root cause, but does allow the editor to work again. Hopefully the theme developer fixes the underlying cause in the future.

I had white screen on Edit Page in WordPress 7.0.2 with Blockify theme (version: 1.4.10).
Now after your fix ( to apply - copy fix.php into /wp-content/mu-plugins/ ) Code Editor works although Visual Editor is still dead - I see the content but can't edit it.

Hey GennadyK,

I believe I've fixed the issue that you were seeing. It seems to be completely unrelated to the original bug and is instead related to the "collaborators-overlay-full" element that sits over the top of the block editor.
