@janvorli It looks like browser-WASM fails before managed code starts, while creating the initial SOH segment. GC bookkeeping has already consumed part of the 64 MiB global hard-limit budget, and WASM’s never_decommit path charges the entire 64 MiB segment as committed. That immediately exceeds the limit.

The original regression is region-GC-specific, which wasm32 does not use. What is the preferred solution: adjust global hard-limit initialization for WASM, use per-object-heap limits to retain behavioral OOM coverage, disable the test on wasm32, or something else?
