The autocomplete once finished lines with care,
Now it questions your architecture, stops to stare.
It flagged your
foovariable as "insufficiently named,"And left a suggestion where your ego should be blamed.
Your copilot has read ten million repos overnight,
It scaffolds the whole service before you've had a byte.
It catches null dereferences and race conditions too —
But still won't tell you why the build is failing in the queue.
The terminal grew a conscience somewhere around
gpt-4,It mutters "are you sure?" before it opens every door.
It refactors while you coffee, leaves a diff you didn't ask,
And somehow — somehow — nailed the most ambiguous of tasks.
The future isn't robots taking over your IDE;
It's two minds on a keyboard, half machine, half you and me.
You bring the "why it matters," it brings speed and sleepless nights —
And together you ship features by the morning light. 🚀
Watching copilots evolve from autocomplete to full-on collaborators sparked the question: where does the tool end and the teammate begin?
