Minecraft is currently in the process of switching over from GLFW to SDL3, how will this affect the mod?

The latest Minecraft snapshot has just switched from GLFW to SDL, this is an internal library that Minecraft uses for creating windows, and keyboard and mouse input.

Controlify made use of SDL for its controller support, and was shipping SDL DLLs in the jar in order to use it. As a result of Minecraft's change, Controlify will no longer have to do this.

HOWEVER, this means support and bug fixes for controller support will now be tied to the Minecraft version, instead of the Controlify version. For example, if the Steam Controller would have come out between 26.3 and 26.4, then 26.3 would never allow you to play with a Steam Controller.

I do have a solution to this. The main Controlify mod will not include the latest SDL version as it may be undesired and unnecessary when playing the latest version, I will release a new mod that will work alongside Controlify, only providing the latest natives, so you can pair it with older versions of Minecraft to get the latest controller support.
