smart-splits + Wezterm slowness

Hi there,
I am trying to use Wezterm and smart+splits for navigating between panes but when i am moving out of NeoVim it is really slow.

I know there was a similar discussion, but I haven't been able to solve it based on that.

The scenario is the same:

• Moving between Wezterm panes is fast
• Moving into a pane with NeoVim is still fast
• Moving out of NeoVim there is a 1-2 second delay

I have tried both wezterm and wezterm nightly.

versions:

• NVIM v0.10.2
• wezterm 20240203-110809-5046fc22
• smart-splits 0523920a07c54eea7610f342ca8c1bddbee4b626

I encountered the same issue and resolved by setting vim.opt.timeoutlen=100 in nvim configuration. but the weird thing is that even after I removed this setting and restarted WezTerm, the delay miraculously disappeared. This might be helpful for others who encounter the same problem.
