Describe the feature
CodeRabbit started to sponsor npmx for $1K/month. We have discussed with the core team and decided to introduce a sponsoring tiers to let companies support the project at different levels. We also want to take the opportunity to display sponsors in more places.
Changes to /about
Introduce a new Gold Sponsor category:
- Gold Sponsors: Vercel, CodeRabbit
- Sponsors: VoidZero, Vlt, netlify, Blueksy, Chromatic, Badrap
Changes to frontpage
Add a flat list of sponsors in plain text to the footer. We could link to the sponsors section of about from it.
Changes to the GitHub readme
Add sponsors to the end of the readme. For now, we could do it with a generated image (see example) to support light/dark themes.
Changes to GitHub Sponsors and Open Collective
We currently have: Backer $5, Sponsor $100, Patron $500
We used Sponsor in the UI, I imagine it is more clear for companies than patron. So we could rename Patron to Silver Sponsor and add a new Gold Sponsor tier of $1K.
Additional information
Final checks
