stat:could not read child node: internal error: Missing parent ID on node
I am uploading a lot of files using the Windows Desktop Client. Two of them fails to upload. The error in the server log is:
stat:could not read child node: internal error: Missing parent ID on node
- This happens with 2 files only, among the thousands I uploaded.
- They are are PDF files. In the same directory ("Papers"), there are around 200 other PDF files that were uploaded successfully
- The 2 problematic files have nothing specific
- Deleting the "Papers" directory and repeating leads to the same errors about the same 2 files among the 200
Steps to reproduce
Good question...
Expected behavior
No error
Actual behavior
The error described above.
Setup
- Docker with image 63a457e77616 (5.0.1). I cannot update it right now
- The server data is stored on a local ext4 partition
Additional context
As a workaround, I created a "test" directory and copied there "Papers" directory. They were uploaded successfully. So I deleted the original "Papers" directory and moved "test/Papers" to replace it.
I am aware that this issue might be difficult to reproduce and solve. Still, some more information in the log files or some instructions what to do to troubleshoot the issue would be very helpful in case it occurs again, to me or someone else.
