Yes, as far as I know, the Breakout Board 1.2 only supports a single encoder plugged into port 1. It would requires some changes to the pyControl framework, but it may be possible to add a second encoder on port 3. How many wheels do you anticipate using? How many mice would be running on them? The way things are setup in my lab is there is 1 breakout board per rig per animal, but perhaps you have something else in mind? |

Currently in the planning phase for setting up chambers for monitoring mouse wheel running, so sorry for the naive question. In the docs it lists that the rotary encoder must connect to port 1 on breakout board 1.2. Does this mean I will need a separate breakout board for each rotary encoder device (i.e. mouse wheel)?
