What and why

Companion to CryptOS-PKI/cryptos-manager#152, which serves operator credential requests, recording and the denylist revoke. Merge the two together.

Refs CryptOS-PKI/cryptos-manager#147

  • New page Operator credentials after day zero (Fleet Manager section): request a credential from a CSR made on the holder's machine, sign it at the operator CA with the returned section and command, record the signed certificate (with or without a request, active operator CA only), credentials seen in use, deny a credential, and the listing fields. Callouts cover the CSR subject rule, the non-critical level extension, recording only from the active CA during a rotation, and a warning that denying in the Fleet Manager doesn't revoke at the CA, followed by the openssl ca -revoke and -gencrl commands.
  • A note that the web UI's request and record screens are not in this release yet.
  • The operator CA page and the web UI's Operators section link to the new page; the sidebar lists it after the operator CA page.

Verification

  • Build succeeds
  • Documentation updated (if behavior or API changed)

How this was verified

npm run build completes with no broken links, and task license passes. Every statement was checked against the manager code in the companion PR. The OpenSSL commands were run as written with OpenSSL 3 (signing with -batch added to skip the confirm prompt); the signed certificate carries the level extension non-critical and passes the manager's CSR and certificate checks.

A new page walks through adding an operator once the manager is running:
request a credential from a CSR, sign it at the operator CA with the
returned section and command, record the signed certificate, and deny it
when needed, with a warning that denying in the Fleet Manager doesn't
revoke at the CA. It also covers credentials seen in use, the listing
fields and the refusals. The operator CA and web UI pages link to it.
