Merge after cuda-core 1.2.2 is published. Until then the new switcher entry points to a docs page that does not exist yet.

Summary

Follow-up to #3108, the cuda.core 1.2.2 release, which adds Python 3.15 wheels on the 1.2.x branch. Part of #2163.

Changes

  • cuda_core/docs/nv-versions.json: add 1.2.2 to the docs version switcher, as [docs-only] docs(cuda.core): add 1.2.1 to the docs version switcher #2944 did for 1.2.1.
  • cuda_core/docs/source/release/1.2.2-notes.rst: forward-port the 1.2.2 release notes from the 1.2.x branch.
  • cuda_core/pyproject.toml: add the Python 3.15 classifier. Main already builds 3.15 wheels; the classifier was missing.

🤖 Generated with Claude Code

Forward-port the cuda.core 1.2.2 release notes from the 1.2.x branch,
add 1.2.2 to the docs version switcher, and add the Python 3.15
classifier, which main lacks although it builds 3.15 wheels.

Merge Risk: 🔵 Low · up to 655bc

Merge after the 1.2.2 documentation page is published; merging earlier could expose a broken version-switcher link.

important: Do not publish this switcher entry until the 1.2.2 docs page is available.

The configured URL currently returns HTTP 404. Publishing this entry first would expose a broken link.

cuda-bindings 12.9.10 adds cp315 wheels, so Python 3.15 is no longer
CUDA 13 only. Match the 1.2.2 release notes in NVIDIA#3108.
