There are many devices with lid able to run SteamOS right now including but not limited:
- Laptops
- Ayaneo Pocket DS
- Ayn Thor
While the OS default behaviour which is sleeping when lid is closed suffice for most situations, there are cases where this is not user desired behavior, for instance, if a user is inside gamescope, no game is running and a download/update is in process, instead device should throttle to keep power draw to minimum while allowing downloads to continue and only proceed to sleep after all tasks completed
