fs.realpath uses GetFinalPathNameByHandle on Windows which fails with EISDIR on virtual filesystems that don't register with the Mount Manager (e.g. ImDisk RAM disks). tmpdir() on Windows is never a symlink, so the resolution is unnecessary there.
