Companion to the ai-software-architect charter PR, same pilot. Direction, constraints, anti-goals, label taxonomy, autonomy ladder. The one stance worth your attention: I wrote the provider question (OpenAI-only today) as explicitly open, with a fence that no provider abstraction lands until a researched proposal decides it. If you already know where you want that to go, edit the Direction section before merging.
Also adds a Dependabot baseline (weekly, bundler + GitHub Actions).
