Add a compact light/dark control to authenticated and sign-in surfaces while preserving the system color scheme as the first-visit default. Persist an explicit selection and keep system changes in sync until the user chooses a mode. Remove the raised panel, gradient, border, and shadow treatments from loading states so the branded animation sits directly on the page background in either theme.

Resolve the saved or system theme in a parser-blocking head script so the document receives its theme attribute before the generated stylesheet loads. Remove the deferred module initializer, while leaving the interactive toggle responsible for subsequent theme changes.

Loading screens now place the branded animation directly on the page canvas instead of inside a darker raised panel or decorative gradient. A compact theme control is available in the main header and on sign-in and loading screens so users can switch between light and dark mode from every application state.
The first visit continues to follow the operating-system preference, with the initial theme applied before the stylesheet loads to avoid a mismatched first paint. Once a user chooses a mode, that selection is remembered; system theme changes remain live only until an explicit choice is made.
