Why

mapcode-ts 1.0.2 corrects the full names of 5 territories. The README also had no release notes after 2.5.1.

What changed

  • Pin mapcode-ts to 1.0.2 and bump the version to 2.11.3.
  • Add a ## Release Notes section to the README for 2.5.0 to 2.11.3, in the same format as the Java service README.

Scope

  • The only change in mapcode-ts 1.0.2 is the territory names. Encoding and decoding are unchanged.
  • This PR does not create GitHub releases for 2.6.0 to 2.11.3.

Blast Radius

Clients see new fullName values on the territory endpoints: COK is "Cook Islands", FJI is "Republic of Fiji", PSE is "Palestine", CA-NL is "Newfoundland and Labrador" and RU-IN is "Republic of Ingushetia". The service never matches input against fullName, so no request that works today stops working. A client that compares on the old names would see a difference.

Verification

  • A diff of the published 1.0.1 and 1.0.2 packages shows only the 5 name changes.
  • npm test: 757 passed, 11 skipped. The RU-IN territory test now expects the new name.
  • npm run typecheck, npm run typecheck:test and npm run build pass.

mapcode-ts 1.0.2 changes only the full names of 5 territories: COK,
FJI, PSE, CA-NL and RU-IN. The territory endpoints return the new
names.
