Summary

  • Drop Python 3.9 (EOL 2025-10-31) and 3.10 (EOL 2026-10-01): requires-python is now >=3.11. Classifiers, pyright, ruff, tox and the CI matrix are updated, 3.14 is added, and the EOL notice in the README and docs now points at Python 3.11.
  • Refresh pdm.lock and package/requirements.*.txt so urllib3, idna, soupsieve, requests, pytest and Pygments reach their patched versions. This clears the 17 open Dependabot alerts (all in dev/docs tooling) and supersedes chore(deps): bump urllib3 from 2.2.2 to 2.6.3 in /package #443.

The Python floor had to move because the fixed releases of pytest, requests, soupsieve and urllib3 require Python 3.10 or newer.

Test plan

  • pytest: 895 passed
  • ruff check .: clean
  • CI

Release note for later: add a "Breaking" entry in CHANGES.md and bump to 0.36.0 at release time.

Python 3.9 (EOL 2025-10-31) and 3.10 (EOL 2026-10-01) are end of life, so
require >=3.11. Classifiers, pyright, ruff, tox and the CI matrix are
updated, 3.14 is added, and the EOL notice now points at Python 3.11.

Refresh pdm.lock and package/requirements.*.txt so that urllib3, idna,
soupsieve, requests, pytest and Pygments reach their patched versions,
closing the open Dependabot alerts (and superseding #443).
