@marcoroth Is the goal here to authenticate with GitHub Oauth like the website does? I was thinking of taking this on since I did something similar for an app.
I'd be fine with adding Sign in with Apple too, but I guess it becomes a bit more annoying since we don't have a guaranteed GitHub Username anymore, which the platform currently relies on.
I wonder if we could make it, so when you sign in with Apple, that you then get a prompt to also connect your GitHub Account.
@marcoroth I've been thinking about this some more. My guess is that even if we could require sign in with github right after sign in with apple, it would get rejected by the iOS reviewer.
How do you feel about me, as a first step, trying to remove the requirement that a github username is present? Then I can add sign in with apple to the web, then sign in with apple and sign in with github to the native app.
This post describes the latest approach I've take to get OAuth working on hotwire native apps in case you're curious.

@kcdragon I think it would be great to have the exact same flow as the website has, meaning that you should be able to sign in using GitHub via OAuth.
But if I remember correctly, there was something about having to add Sign in with Apple if you have any third-party provider in an iOS app.
So I'm not sure just adding GitHub is going to be enough.

Ah yes that's true. We'd need Apple OAuth as well. I don't think it will be too much more work for that though. I've done it before.
