Filebrowser: Add tooltips to BucketList #140

on May 18, 2026 Adding the tooltip to the grid icon is easy but I ran into an issue with the bucket names. Any tooltips by DaisyUI restrict the tooltip to be a child of the list element. Thus, when you display the tooltip, it extends and overflows the container and there's nothing I can do about that. I agree that having tooltips showing the truncated names is good but there's no way I can do it with DaisyUI's tooltips.
What should we do? Either we ditch DaisyUI's tooltips in favor of something that can show tooltips at the root document level or we find another solution.
also, you need to play around with the z-index of the tooltip. because we want the tooltip on top of everything when its shown.:
saadeghi/daisyui#2778I've looked into it and can't make it work. If you don't have the time to do it in my stead then assign it back to me and I'll see what else we could do.

Both the buckets and the small button to get to the bucket dashboard need a tooltip.
