The added code mimics the old behaviour where overflow in blending had a different outcome. It is not 100% identical but according to my test it visually shows a similar "colorful" flickering when exceeding the top.
Improved color blending in the Gravimeter effect when blend values exceed the supported range. The effect now keeps the primary blend within its limit and applies any excess as an additional palette color. This helps maintain consistent, bounded blending while ensuring excess values still contribute to the displayed color.
The Gravimeter effect now caps its blend amount at 255. If the amount exceeds 255, it adds a scaled palette color contribution before setting the pixel.

Summary
Clamp and apply the Gravimeter blend amount wled00/FX.cpp
The Gravimeter branch caps the blend amount at 255 and adds a scaled palette color for any excess. A blank line was also added after the gravity-counter update.
Gravimeter can still show a nearly black filled bar at maximum input, contrary to the purpose of this fix. Correct the channel combination before merging.

Title check
The title clearly and concisely identifies the main change: fixing a regression in the Gravimeter effect.
Linked Issues check
The change addresses #5891 in mode_gravcenter_base() for Gravimeter. It stores segmentSampleAvg * 8.0f in int16_t, clamps the blend value to 255 before converting to uint8_t, and applies the e…
Out of Scope Changes check
The changes remain within #5891. The blend handling directly fixes the Gravimeter overflow. The blank-line change is limited to the same function and has no behavior impact.

Explanation
The change addresses #5891 in mode_gravcenter_base() for Gravimeter. It stores segmentSampleAvg * 8.0f in int16_t, clamps the blend value to 255 before converting to uint8_t, and applies the excess as a scaled palette color. This prevents the reported conversion from wrapping to a near-zero blend at the bar maximum. Issue #5891 does not require an automated test.
Full details: Docstring Coverage
Explanation
Docstring coverage is 100.00% which is sufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 1 functions across 1 files.

visually shows a similar "colorful" flickering when exceeding the top.
@DedeHai i've checked the look - if I recall correctly, the original "overflow flicker" was a bit more subtle (less flicker-like). But your solution is very close, considering that the code relied on unspecified behaviour of FartLED color blending.
